SouleClo

In the AMM 3750 course, we were introduced to the fundamental principles of digital commerce marketing specifically tailored for the apparel merchandise industry. The primary objective of this course was to provide us with a comprehensive understanding of how digital commerce impacts both fashion businesses and consumers from both technological and managerial perspectives. We delved into the essential concepts and technologies required to design, develop, and deploy e-commerce and m-commerce applications.

One of the specific projects we worked on throughout the semester was a group-based Shopify Project. As a team, we embarked on the journey of creating a fully functional eCommerce website. Our first task was to define our brand, which we named SouleClo. SouleClo was positioned as an affordable women's business wear line with luxurious elements. We aimed to capture the essence of sophistication and style while maintaining affordability.

Using the Shopify platform, we began building our online site. Our initial focus was on creating an appealing homepage that resonated with our target audience. Additionally, we crafted a compelling "About Us" page to communicate the brand's story and values. We also invested time in curating an extensive product catalog that showcased our line of women's business wear. Each product was accompanied by detailed descriptions and high-quality imagery to enhance the overall shopping experience.

As we progressed, we dedicated efforts to configuring the checkout process, including payment options, tax regulations, and legal requirements. We also explored various delivery options to ensure a seamless and convenient shipping experience for our customers. To expand our reach, we integrated additional sales channels and extended apps that allowed us to tap into a broader customer base.

Furthermore, we learned about order fulfillment and analyzed customer data to gain insights into their preferences and behavior. By leveraging e-commerce marketing tools, we devised strategies to promote our brand and attract potential customers. It was an exciting and hands-on experience that allowed us to apply the theoretical knowledge we acquired in class to a real-world project.
